Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw is now in cinemas worldwide, and it seems to have reopened some old wounds.
Back when the spin-off was announced in 2017, Tyrese Gibson vented on Instagram about Dwayne Johnson breaking off from the "#FastFamily" to make the spin-off ("we don't fly solo"), and later blamed the spin-off for Fast & Furious 9's delay.
Vin Diesel denied that Johnson was to blame for the delay, but Gibson continued the "feud" by saying he wouldn't be in Fast & Furious 9 if Johnson was.
For most of its running time, David Leitch’s “Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw” delivers the goods one would expect from its ridiculous title. After all, what are audiences really here for? They want some banter between stars Jason Statham and Dwayne Johnson. They want them to beat each other up a few times.
